Johnathan is from the Poconos (yes, non-vacationing people live there), went to Penn State, then moved to New York City where he studied and performed extensively at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.

Fernandez is a series regular on FOX's LETHAL WEAPON which is currently shooting its third season. He plays 'Scorsese', a dry-toned and creative pathologist with the LAPD who solves cases with the LAPD.

Johnathan just wrote, starred in, and executive produced his first short film. It's called Lillian. and is directed by Keesha Sharp (Lethal Weapon, Are We There Yet?) The film also stars Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn 99), Lyndon Smith (White Famous, Parenthood), and Carly Sullivan (SyFy's Happy). It's going to be entered into festivals later this year.

Fernandez is expecting the impending release of an independent feature he was in called CAN'T HAVE YOU. It's produced by Mark A. Altman and Mark Gottwald through In My Life Productions. He played 'Stephen", a quiet and self-assured man who gets into some shenanigans at a wedding weekend in Palm Springs.

He is also an alumni of the ABC NY Talent Showcase, having performed in 2015.

UCB-wise, he has appeared in many many many shows and showcases, and also wrote a one hour sketch show for Comedy Central's Corporate Retreat at the UCB East. Fernandez was on legendary weekend house sketch team STONE COLD FOX, and was also a member of house sketch teams ROANOKE, and MAMA'S GOTTA GO, as well as the UCB Digital Teams known as POCKETWATCH, and FROHNSON AND FROHNSON.

His other credits include Bull, Adam Ruins Everything, @midnight, GIRLS, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Younger, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and more.

Johnathan is a member of the Television Academy as well as the charity Homes4Families. He also enrolled in the Best Buy Rewards program which is pretty cool.
