Johnathan is from Brooklyn, NY, went to Penn State, then moved back to New York City where he studied and performed extensively at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.

Fernandez just finished three seasons as a series regular on FOX's LETHAL WEAPON. He played 'Scorsese', a dry-toned and creative pathologist who solved cases with the LAPD.

He will soon be seen as a lead on the upcoming sequel/revival of GOSSIP GIRL on HBO MAX; as well as SONY’S SPIDER-MAN UNIVERSE movie starring Jared Leto entitled MORBIUS, and indie movie starring Ed Helms TOGETHER-ISH.

Johnathan just wrote, starred in, and executive produced his first short film. It's called Lillian. and is directed by Keesha Sharp (Lethal Weapon, Are We There Yet?) The film also stars Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn 99), Lyndon Smith (White Famous, Parenthood), and Carly Sullivan (SyFy's Happy). It's currently in the festival circuit.

Fernandez completed a feature comedy called WE NEED TO TALK. Also starring James Maslow (Sequestered, Big Time Rush), Emily Rickards (Arrow, Brooklyn), and Christel Kahlil (Young and the Restless), the film is a fun venture into the world of video gaming.

Johnathan is also an alumni of the ABC NY Talent Showcase, having performed in 2015.

UCB-wise, he has appeared in many many many shows and showcases, and also wrote a one hour sketch show for Comedy Central's Corporate Retreat at the UCB East. Fernandez was on legendary weekend house sketch team STONE COLD FOX, and was also a member of house sketch teams ROANOKE, and MAMA'S GOTTA GO, as well as the UCB Digital Teams known as POCKETWATCH, and FROHNSON AND FROHNSON.

His other credits include Bull, Adam Ruins Everything, @midnight, GIRLS, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Younger, The Daily Show, The Colbert Reportand more.

Johnathan is a member of the Television Academy as well as the charity Homes4Families. He also enrolled in the Best Buy Rewards program which is pretty cool.
